Growing up in a challenging environment in a low-income neighborhood with four siblings, David’s early years were marked by hardship, often punctuated by visits from social services. With a father struggling with alcohol dependency and a mother whose unwavering strength inspired him daily, David learned the importance of perseverance, compassion, and the transformative power of opportunity.
David’s professional journey started humbly as a theatre usher, a role he held with dedication for 28 years, climbing the ranks to become Executive Vice President of Operations for Canada’s Theatre Industry. Driven by a relentless passion for excellence and operational integrity, David then transitioned into the franchise sector. Over the next 20 years, he successfully opened well over 150 restaurants (we lost track!) across Canada, becoming an esteemed figure in franchise leadership as an Executive Vice President.
Yet David’s true calling came when he decided it was time to build his own legacy. Driven by his experiences and a passion to help others succeed, he discovered a concept, determined to offer the culinary world a fresh approach—bold, approachable food with a heartfelt story.
